home of their “High Altitude Clydesdales” High Altitude because the farm sits at 8,100 feet above sea level. Living at this altitude makes for greater lung capacity, with increased stamina compared to Clydesdales raised at lower elevations. Here, surrounded by the picturesque Rocky Mountains, the farm is located in the San Luis Valley (the largest alpine valley in the WORLD), just west of historic town of San Luis, Colorado (the oldest town in Colorado).
